In the heart of Sweden about an hour through the forest, you will find this hidden gem. An abandoned village that had it´s last inhabitants in 1965.
Our cabins are located on a beautiful rugged, private property that overlooks breathtaking lakes and have a remoteness to suit up your personal adventure style.
Ejheden will be possible to rent with a minimum of 2 nights, all year round from 1 up to 13 people in 2 houses, an old school and an old domestic house.
It has the small convenience to charge a phone, cook a meal on a gas stove, and having an outdoor summershower, but with the big luxury of staying off the grid in this magical surrounding of an abandoned village while heating up your cabin and relaxing next to the woodstove after a day out.
Have the best sauna experience and take a cool dive in the lake while overviewing nature’s beauty. Enjoy one of the amazing hikes over old trails and experience the true meaning of silence. Cook a meal in the most idyllic boathouse ever.
Have a company kick-off or friendly weekend here. Sups, canoes, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, all possible here.
Booking info
Rent one or both houses depending on the number of persons, even if you rent one house you have the whole area to yourselves.
There is a basic outdoorshower that can be used in summer and in the cosy boathouse you can cook your dinner right at the waterfront. Fresh and drinkable water can be taken from the well. Ejheden needs to be booked at least 7 days in advance.

Rent the sauna during your stay at Ejheden, we will provide the firewood. Please ask us for pricing.
Go fishing in the lake Stor Ejen. Fishingcards can be purchased on line (www.ifiske.se) 100 SEK/person/day.
We have many contacts with local nature and adventure guides, furthermore we can arrange several outdoor workshops if booked in advance with one of our partners.
But the best of it all are the magical surroundings and the old trails. Try to find the cabin of the last wolve hunter without getting lost into the wild. You might discover tracks of the big five: Bear, Moose, Dear, Lynx, Fox or even better you will meet them!
